Vinyl

For our third illustration project, we were asked to design a vinyl album cover, including the jacket and the inner sleeves.

For my album choice, I selected Tinashe’s Aquarius. The original cover features a close-up of her face wearing a mask, but I decided to interpret the title Aquarius more literally. My design focuses entirely on water elements, including waves, droplets, and splashes. The central element is a woman holding a water filled vase, representing the Aquarius water-bearer in a more symbolic and artistic way.
